Wow I haven't updated in a while. That's not cool but you guys know how stuff is. Here's the rest of the Phantom of the Opera Awards (or the Phantys) so far:

So since this is after all my blog, I thought that I'd start filling you guys in on some more behind the scenes stuff. Why? Because I've actually always wanted to tell people of my misadventures while filming. You might want to see the videos first though because there are SPOILERS!

The production of part two for the Phantom portion went pretty normal. It really rekindled my love of stage Phantoms that's for sure! I actually downloaded all the actors' Music of the Nights and Final Lairs because in my opinion those are how you can really judge a Phantom without seeing them live. However, due to time limitations, I was only able to fit one short clip in for each actor. Originally I was going to pick and choose different scenes for different actors based on their strengths (i.e. John Owen-Jones wins at Final Lair while Gary Mauer's All I Ask of You Reprise is like no other) but again I decided that for comparison's sake, I should keep it uniform and included the iconic "to BEEEEEEEEEE". Plus I'm lazy. Then came the movie Phantoms which was pretty easy, I just included that best lines that the character had (or at least in my opinion). You may have noticed that I used the "blackness itself" line for the 1990 miniseries and Charles Dance teaser. Well, I just really like that line I guess! I was also pleasantly surprised that Robert Englund won second place, in a good way of course! And of course the Raoul portion went swimmingly too. I was thrilled when Steve won and decided to add the "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" music as a kind of tribute for an emotional touch. What a performer!

The third part of the Phantys was a little more interesting with the help of my friend DarthxErik from YouTube whom you might know from her LND song satyrs. We've wanted to be in collaboration for a long while, first with a duet then with a cameo appearance. She mentioned to me that she had a Christine costumes in the works and I though why not? The cat fight idea came in later production however! Still, that was a lot of fun to shoot. I had to position the camera just so and even practice lunging over the desk at few times. It took me a total of 6 shots to get the effect I wanted. Let me tell you, it was a workout! Also, the black eye and blood (which tasted DREADFUL) was a last minute thought. I didn't have a mirror in the area and wasn't about to go waltzing around in my costume to find one so I had to do it right then and there on my own. I'll let you be the judge of the results. Speaking of which, there really wasn't a lot of surprise when I found out the winners of Best Christine in a Musical but I feel that there might be some disappointment that Emmy Rossum beat out Mary Philbin for Best Christine in a Movie. I honestly expected Mary Philbin and Terri Polo to be on top, but I guess we had more movie phans voting this time around. I don't really mind Emmy, but others may strongly disagree with the results. We can only wait and see!

Hey, guys! I've come back with a bit of news for you all!

Ever since the Epic Rant has ended, I've been looking for my next project to do. For a while, as mentioned in the last video, I was considering doing a rant on the accursed 2004 movie in a similar way that I did for Love Never Dies. Although I definitely would be interested in doing that in a the future, I thought that I would try something a little more positive before I go on hating things again. And thus, the Phanty Awards were born!

The Phanty Awards is going to be just like any other award show, but with Phantom of the Opera. It will be broadcasted on YouTube when the results are in and the show will be hosted by yours truely. How are we determining the results you ask? Well, by phans like you of course! All you need to do is check out this trailer and vote in the links given in the description. The "series" will definitely be separated into parts since I have a lot of good and bad to say. Think of it as a final vent before the thing actually opens. The videos will include rumors we've heard, the cast, the inferred plotline, the music we've heard thus far, the phans' reactions, and much more! I'm going to try and explore the pros as well as the cons of the sequel so it's not like I'm simply bashing other people who like the sequel. That's not my intention, I just have a lot I need to get off my chest.

Under the Weather

'Tis the season for snow, presents, and goodwill towards men. It is also the season of the accursed cold. I have unfortunatly contracted such a cold and am unable to sing let alone speak (I sound a lot like the love child of Lindsey Lohan and Mickey Mouse). As of now, this restricts me from singing the Christmas song as planned. Perhaps I'll have a quick recovery and be able to record myself at the last minute, but for now, I'm planning on using the already recorded version of the song. This doesn't mean that the video is off by any means. I will still film myself miming the lyrics to the song with props and such, the only thing that will be different is that I will not be singing. To make up for it, I'll try and put up a video of just me singing in the future since I know that some phans took an interest in my voice. All the same, I hope you enjoy the upcoming video!

Bayberry Cove Pictures!

If you recall all that time ago, I, That Girl in the Phantom Costume, ventured to Bayberry Cove, New Jersey. Ok, so it was only in August, but the year flies by fast, you know. So anyway, for your viewing pleasure, I have a couple of behind the scenes photos and never before seen images not featured in the video. Alright, they're not that epic, but there are some pretty amusing stories behind each of them so take a look!

These are my friends that I went with. The whole reason that we were there was because of the girl in the cap's birthday.

I came up to this guy and began talking with him. We got some on video, but the quailty was pretty bad and you could barely hear a word.

Ah, the infamous window sequence! You could tell from the video that we were actually above a food court and we had just finished our dinners when I began scaring people. I daresay that I frightened away some of the business. The girl who took this picture, as I was trying the be menacing, was waving at the people passing by. A mood killer for sure, but just as funny as what I did!

And last, but not least, my favorite part of the day (besides the wedding) was my performances for passersby. I never expected people would get such a kick out of this but loads of people came up and just listened to the music of the night. I definitly hope to do this kind of thing again.

New Costume Piece!

I'm proud to announce that I've recently purchased a fitting and AMAZING Phantom-like tuxedo blazer for my infamous costume. Oh, it's so wonderful and it fits me like a glove. Be sure to look for it in my next video!

Speaking of which, the next video will be a remake of my Phantom of the Grocery Store. It will be considerably shorter (only highlights of the actual event) with a song and an introduction by yours truly. I have the actual video made, I just need to do my own part first before I can upload/post it.

The Phantom of Baybarry Cove

Far from the comfort of her lair, TGITPC ventures to New Jersey and gets into a wedding and even sings in front of baffled strangers! I also forgot my hat. Sad, I know.

The next planned trip will be at either Dorney Park or Hersehy during the Halloween season. Some haunted houses will hopefully be included. Until then, everything is still pretty up in the air. I plan on posting a full video of updates shortly.

The reactions captured on video definitly weren't the best ones that I recieved (hey, you can't get everything on recording all the time). Although with some interesting conversations with the staff, there was a little girl there who vigorously asked her mother why I was dressed the way I was. I'm pretty disapointed that I didn't get as meanful of footage that I would have like to, but this was the first time I was out and about in costume. Hopefully, next time we'll get some even better stuff on camera.

The next location will be another one close to home. It'll be a short video of my "flag walk" in Phantom costume in honor of 9/11. See you next time!

The Phantom of the Lair: A look inside TGITPC's home

Welcome to my humble abode. The first ever in the hopefully long saga of my adventures in my Phantom costume. As you have probably figured out by now, to kick off my blog, the first location isn't all that interesting. I merely romped about my home, my "lair", in Phantom costume and did many of my everyday activities that I noramlly would carry out day to day. In addition to that, I would noramlly post other people's reactions to my Phantom costume as well, but seeing that only my family and occasional friends are the only ones who reside there, they are used to my random phandom. When I actually go out into the public, I'm sure that the pictures/stories will be more interesting. My apologizes for the strange alignment of the pictures. I'll find a way to fix that as soon as I am able to. Bear, with me, I am new at this. Special thanks to my wonderful "photographer" and neighbor, Kirah (she couldn't stop laughing at me). Enjoy the pictures and don't forget to comment!

Edit: The video was made with One True Media, a program that I won't use in the future. I removed the pictures posted on here for the presentation of the blog. If you still wish to use them (God knows why) email me and I will send them to you.

Welcome to TGITPC!

A short introduction to the newest addition of the Phantom of the Opera phan world, That Girl in the Phantom Costume. Please keep in mind that this is most certainly not scripted and I fumble with my words a few times. I was nervous. Many thanks to my good friend, Kirah, for filming this, as I could not both talk and do so at the same time. I apologize for the less than good quality. This was filmed in my basement...er lair and it is quite dusty down there! Hopefully, my future videos will have better quality.
